Marcela Cárdenas

Marcela completed her Ph.D. at Universidad de Concepción and CECs. She did a postdoctoral stay at Université Paris 7 (APC Laboratory) and a second one at Universidad de Santiago.

She studies the asymptotic structure of different theories of gravity as well as black hole physics, specializing in lower dimensions. More recently, her work is motivated by finding enhanced symmetries of gravity related with Integrable systems, towards the constructions of new holographic duals.

Avik Chakraborty

Dr. Avik Chakraborty did his M.Sc. in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B), and then obtained his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. After completing his Ph.D. in 2021 he was a Lecturer of Physics at USC.

His research interests range from the AdS/CFT correspondence, Black Hole Thermodynamics, String Theory to Quantum Information and Gravity.

Carlos Rubio

Dr. Rubio studied physics at the Facultad de Ciencias of the Universidad de Chile. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently, he has a position as a postdoctoral researcher at the Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

His research interest is focused on both high energy theoretical physics and phenomenology, from cosmology and gravity to particle physics. He also loves archeology and ancient history.
