1st Pacific Summer School: Theory and Observations in Einstein’s Theory of Gravity and its Modifications

We are beyond excited to announce the 1st Pacific Summer School Theory and Observations in Einstein’s Theory of Gravity and its Modifications. This event will take place from January 17th to January 23rd in Santiago, Chile.

Cristián Erices, Eleftherios Papantonopoulos and HolographyCL organize this first edition. The launch of this inaugural edition signals the start of a series of educational gatherings in the South Pacific region. The aim is to bring together local and international M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and leading experts in gravitation. The main objective is to delve into the latest and remarkable advancements in cosmology, gravitational waves, holography, black holes, and other compact celestial bodies within the framework of general relativity and modified gravity theories. Particularly, attendees, especially students, will gain insights into advanced techniques for solving problems in general relativity and receive an introduction to scalar-tensor theories along with their practical applications. This event will serve as a valuable platform to explore new connections, foster ongoing collaborations, and foster fresh research alliances.

This school will be held at the Salón Rojo Auditorium (Red Saloon) of Gonzalo Hernández Uribe building, Faculty of Law and Humanities, Universidad Central de Chile.

The lectures from Thomas Sotiriou and Marco Astorino will be joined by the plenary speakers
